He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathias Dufner and Mary Dufner (Verkinnis); his daughters, Susan Kay and Karen Jean; his wife Carolyn; his brother Leroy; and his brothers-in-law, Jack Reynolds and Hartwick Peterson.
He is survived by: his son Patrick Dufner (Lana); his grandchildren, Nathan Dufner (Kaytee) and Paige Dufner; his siblings, Rose Marie "Toots" Peterson of Miles City, Marge Reynolds of Glendive, Marvin Dufner (Marilyn) of Glendive, Marian Quale (Dave) of Beach, Jim Dufner (Nicki) of Glendive, Paul Dufner (Annette) of Littleton and Pat Easley (Walt) of Victor, Montana; and his sister-in-law Ann Dufner of Glendive. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
