He is survived by: his children, Eric Smeltzer (Katy Peterson) of Glendive, Sherry Hecker (Clint) of Sidney and Jay Smeltzer (Shiloh) of Glendive; his grandchildren, Colton, Cayden, Cortney Hecker of Sidney, Logan Alkire and Ashton Smeltzer of Glendive; and his siblings, Warren Smeltzer (Kim) of Townsend and Rita Young (Vic) of Glendive. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family.
