He was predeceased by: his parents, Retta Moffett (Cooley) and Charles Ira Moffett; his sister Marjorie Pettinato (Frank); and also Retta. He is survived by: his sister Marge; his wife Irene Schneider; his children, Charles Moffett of Glendive, LauraLee Myran (Larry) of Glendive and Carol Nielsen (Ed) of Lindsay; and his stepgrandsons, Joe (Caroline), Nick (Loni) and Matt Myran. He is also survived by numerous brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews.
