Betty Shearer Obituary
The memory of Betty Shearer (Glendive, Montana), who passed away on February 13, 2025 at the age of 96, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Morgan Stuart and Rose Pritchard Goss; her husband Jack of Glendive; her siblings, William, Richard, Douglas and Zeta; her sons-in-law, Jim Oriet and Frank Papenfuss; and her granddaughter Amy Loos.
She is survived by: her children, Norma Shearer, David Shearer (Mic Dawson), Barbara Oriet and Richard Shearer (Mary); her grandchildren, Brigid Shearer, Jase Oriet (Lindsey), Kyle Shearer (Róisín) and Jacob Shearer; and her great grandchildren, Dylan, Alonna Kolobakken, Penelope Nissen (Norma), Mackenna, Sophie Hutchings (Barbara), Arnold Shearer, Darragh and Callan Gideon Shearer (Richard). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church (206 W Towne St, Glendive, MT 59330). Her community service extended to Camp Fire Girls, Rainbow for Girls, RSVP, and the Hospital Auxiliary.
