He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Burg and Alma Burg (Handberg); his spouse Marlyss Berge; and his sisters, Dorothy Burg, Lona Walvatne, Lois Jansma and Beth Parks.

He is survived by: his children, Dave Burg (Mary) of Williston, ND and Jana Moran (Scott); and his grandsons, Trent Moran (Shandy), Conor Moran, Seth Burg and Jared Burg.
