He was predeceased by: his parents, John Etchart and Catherine Etchart; his wife Donna Lee; his daughter Nancy; and his siblings, Gene, Mark, Leonard and Ferne.
He is survived by: his children, Danielle Anderson (Einar), Rita Gallagher (Mitch), Paulette Etchart (Jon Satre) and Paul Etchart (Barb); his grandchildren, Angie Watson, Lisa Swanson, Nicole Anderson, Thomas Gallagher, Alyssa Furman, Alex Gallagher, Erik Satre, Aron Satre, Brooke Satre, Evan Etchart, Emily Etchart and Ethan Etchart; his great grandchildren, Quinn Swanson, Lauren Watson, Connor Swanson, Ealin Gallagher and Shelby Metz; and his siblings-in-law, Delores Etchart and Leon Squires. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
