He was predeceased by: his parents, Ingvar Barstad and Myrtle Barstad (Paulson); his brother Milton; his uncle Hank Paulson; and his sister-in-law Nancy Franz Barstad (Harvey).
He is survived by: his wife Georgia; his brother Harvey; his sons, Charles (Valerie), Robert (Ayako) and Bruce (Jenny Fuller); his grandchildren, Christopher (Erin), Nathaniel (Kelly), Kylan, Taylor, Koki, Manato, Braden, Kiauna and Kaylee Raisl; and his great grandchildren, Keeley Simonson and Alexandra Rose Barstad.
In lieu of sending flowers, family requests donations be made in memory of Marvin to the Glasgow High School Educational Trust, Valley County Community Pool Campaign or the First Lutheran Church.
