He is survived by: his former wife Cynthia Martell; his family Glasgow; his wife Berta; his children, Travis Hopstad (Teddi), Donde Fraser (Cory Hallock), Sheena Hopstad, Shawn Hopstad (Jessie Sonsteng) and Chaz Hopstad (Taylor); his grandchildren, Alesia, Reannah Hopstad, Ecko, Ashur Fraser, Bella, Ava, Charlee, Dylan Lund, Silas Hopstad, Cruz and Cali Hopstad; his siblings, Gwen "Sis" Anderson, Floyd Hopstad (Alice), Alan Hopstad and Mary Hopstad; his siblings-in-law, Dolly Hopstad, Rhonda Bilbruck (Dan) and Rock Degele (Jeanne); his parents-in-law, Irene Degele and Tony Degele; and his nephew Jim Lambert.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Bell Mortuary (701 2nd Ave S, Glasgow, MT 59230-2208). A reception was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
