She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Cook and Bertha Cook of Big Sandy; her parents-in-law, Robert and Pauline Poindexter; her siblings, Delores Axtman and Sidney Cook; and her nephew Richard Cook, Jr..

She is survived by: her husband John Poindexter; and her daughters, Tracie Poindexter of Helena, Tami Stine (Dan) of Geraldine, Dena Salois of Geraldine and Kristy Poindexter of Billings. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 5 brothers, 5 sisters, many brother and sister in-laws, multiple nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Geraldine Ambulance or Benefis Mercy Flight.
