He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hedges and Cora Hedges (Workman); his wife Patsy; his granddaughter Sharon Harris; and his sister Rita Hedges.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Chagnon (Tim) of Havre, Colleen Watson (Ron) of Gillette, WY, Janet Halko (Ken) of Sand Coulee, Jim Hedges of Helena, Tim Hedges (Tana) of Big Fork and Michael Hedges (Jessica) of Cut Bank; and his siblings, Catherine Brenden, Lois Ehlert and Tom Hedges (Mary). He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great- granddaughter.
Bill's family has requested that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Parish, or the charity of the donor's choice.
