It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Velma Hansen (Fort Benton, Montana), born in Climax, Saskatchewan, who passed away on March 21, 2019, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rupert East and Julia East (Hanks); her husband Claude Hansen; her son Arnold Lee Hansen; and her siblings, Bob East, Ed East, Leonard East and Violet Coup.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Claudia and Arnold; her daughter Claudia Hansen; her grandsons, Michael Kelley, Matthew Hinkle (Kaitlyn Boy) and Jeremiah Hinkle; her great grandchild Avery Hinkle; her sisters, Elsie Smails and Mathilda Engel; her sister-in-law Barbara East; and her close friend Cheri Thurston. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
