He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Deo and Ruth Cook (Wickwire); his wife Margaret Delia Wales (Dede); his son Charles; his brother Charles "Chuck" (Joan); his nephew Charles Arthur "Artie" Cook; and his daughter-in-law Tina Cook (Craig) of Missoula.
He is survived by: his sister Bonnie; his brother-in-law Phil Berg of Deer Lodge; and his children, Earl, Linda (Sexton) of Milwaukie, OR, Kevin, Cary, Jan (Harris) of Billings, Andrew, Patty (Parker), Laurie, Rick Hunter, Peggy, David Mannix, Joel, Sandra (Carlson) of Portland, OR, Maury, Karen (Dumezich) of Butte, Maria, Johnny Jay Senecal of Avon, Tom, Shauna (Balkovetz) of Great Falls, Brad and Katie (Harper) of Helena. He is also survived by 36 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
