It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rita Knipfer of Ekalaka, Montana, born in Carter, Montana, who passed away on June 25, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Babb and Elizabeth Babb (Durm); her husband Ernest Knipfer; her grandchildren, Kelcey, Klinton Hendricks and Becky Coisman (Beach); her great grandchild Nicholas Schallenberger; and her brothers, Leon and Lyle.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ellen Beach (Keith) of Ekalaka, Irene Hendricks (James) of Ekalaka, Nita Schallenberger (Gary) of Ekalaka and Karla Turbiville of Spearfish, SD; and her brother Loyal Babb (LaVonne) of Rapid City, SD. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to Fairview Cemetery of Camp Crook or a charity of your choice.
