He is survived by: his wife Shelley Riis Dempsey; his children, Tanner Dempsey (Emilie) and Tara (Dustin Bauch); his grandchildren, Marleigh Steinke (Noah Kovick), Taelyn Ehlke (Blayne Ehlke), Sloane Dempsey and Olin Dempsey; his sister Cecelia (Richard Roma); and his brother-in-law Scott Riis. He is also survived by many cousins and nieces and nephews.
