He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Carroll and Louise Carroll; his aunt Mayme Madden Purdy; his former wives, Genevieve "Judy" Browning and Edna Collins; his children, William Peter (Dana), Marie Theresa (George Holt), Patrick John (Carol), Michael Thomas, Shawn, Maureen (Lee Halpin) and Charles; his grandchildren, Keely, Caitlin (Ian Lyon), Colleen (Braden Leonard), Erin, Lindsay and Grady Holt (Stacey Terrill); his stepgrandson Austin Diaz; his great grandchild Marshal Holt; his stepgreat-granddaughter Elizabeth Terrill; his sister Ann (Gile Mitchell); his grandson John Joseph Winterrowd; and also Mary Louise. He was also cherished by niece and four nephews.
