He was predeceased by: his father George Zody; and his wife Ruth K. Thompson. He is survived by: his mother June Zody (Grigsby); his children, Joe Zody (Jennifer) of Montana City, MT, Machelle Lewis (Jesse) of Richland, WA and Mary Taylor (Todd) of Chehalis, WA; his siblings, Steve Zody of Lindsey, MT, Mark Zody (Anita) of Glendive, MT, Linda Eaton of Terry, Rhonda Bornholtz of Woodward, OK, Kathy Lafond (Bill) of Glendive, MT, Sheryl Johnson (Roy) of Glendive, MT and Susan Edwards (Bill) of Lindsey, MT; and his grandchildren, Sam, Zach, Tyzer Zody, Misti Reyes, Travis Lewis, Dustin, Dalton and Darby Taylor. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
