He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Bachmeier; his parents, Jerome and Maggie; his siblings, Agnes, Harry Lee and Richard; and his brother-in-law Dick Garman.
He is survived by: his children, Don Monroe (Roxann), Duane Monroe (Jamie), Pam Nadeau, Ruth Davis (Craig Swanson), Julie Stevenson (Scott), Patty Broesder (Bruce), Maureen Bryan (Stacy Estey) and Kathy DeBoo (Wade); his siblings, Vern Monroe (Myrna) and Alice Garman; and his brother-in-law Bill Leys. He is also survived by eight grandsons; 11 granddaughters and 16 great grandchildren.
