The memory of Violet Ekle in Columbus, Montana, born in Red Lodge, Montana, who passed away on March 29, 2025 at the age of 100, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Loyning and Selma Loyning; her husband Stanley Ekle; her sons, Richard Ekle, Larry Ekle, Gerald Ekle and Dennis Ekle; her daughter-in-law Shirley Ekle; her siblings, Palmer Loyning, Ray Loyning and Cora Egan; her great grandchild Bailey Goode; and her close friend Don Mason.
She is survived by: her aunt Sis; her children, Kenneth Ekle (Colleen) and Cindy Davison (Verle); and her daughter-in-law Paula Ekle. She is also survived by grandchildren; great grandchildren; & great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 12:30 PM and at 2:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Chapel (35 Diamond St, Columbus, MT 59019). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Rosebud Cemetery (1 Rosebud Cemetery Rd, Absarokee, MT 59001).
