He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael L. Gwiazdon and Mary J. Burns (Cahill); and his siblings, Mike Gwiazdon and Ann Gwiazdon. He is survived by: his wife Lin Grant Gwiazdon; his children, Maude Ohs (Brian) and Tim Cahill Gwiazdon; his grandchildren, Whit, Livi James and Wes; his siblings, Jane Bauman of Excelsior, MN and Tom Gwiazdon of Sandy, UT; and also Sarah Rudolph. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
