He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Knapton and Lenora Amundson Knapton; his brother Dick Knapton; his brother-in-law Charles Conrad; and his nephew Joel Conrad.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Knapton; his children, Shawna Korth (Jay) and Scott Knapton (Belinda); his grandchildren, MacKenzie, Kennedy, Erik of Brandon, DJ, Jordan and Allec; his brother Jim Knapton; and his parents-in-law, Lynn, Virginia Everett, Loretta Conrad and Sandra Knapton. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
