He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Nelson and Ida Nelson (Burke); his wife Mable Nelson; and his close friend Rocky Anstey. He is survived by: his children, Russell Nelson (Susan) of Belgrade, Montana, Kurt Nelson (Gail) of Boynton Beach, Florida and Lisa Banka of Choteau, Montana; his grandchildren, Becca Valen (Matt), Stephanie Nelson (Miguel Razo), Christopher Banka, Skylar Banka and Nico Nelson; his great grandchildren, Brandtly, Alaina and Olivia; his sister Eleanor Chevalier; and his siblings-in-law, Ben, Irene Askelson, Marilyn and Betty Solberg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
