With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eddy H. Cyphers of Choteau, Montana, born in Blue Earth, Minnesota, who passed away on August 6, 2020 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Cyphers and Elaine Cyphers; and his daughter Katie Poppe (Cyphers). He is survived by: his former wife Julie Baumgart; his wife Cheryl Traver (Prafke); his children, Lucas Cyphers (Sara) of Fairmont, MN and Michalia Cyphers (Ryan Fritchman) of Truman, MN; his grandchildren, Gage Cyphers of Fairmont, MN, Faith and Tyler Poppe of Northrop, MN; his siblings, Glenn Cyphers (Jane) of Cedar Falls, IA, Becky Wohlford (John) of Monticello, MN, Nora Voss of North Mankato, MN, LeAnn McCormick (Michael) of Oregon City, OR, Ruth Cyphers of Fairmont, MN, Carol Nowicki (Mike) of East Chain, MN and Shirley Willis (Kip) of Kalispell, MT; his stepchildren, Tabitha Jeffries of Mankato, MN, Aaron Traver of Phoenix, AZ and Helena Zea of Mankato, MN; and his nephew Eddy.
The family asks that people are mindful of social distancing guidelines, wearing masks and best practices in helping to reduce the spread of COVID-19 along with the number of visitors in attendance monitored.
His travels took him from Senegal to Zimbabwe and Liberia where he taught communities how to garden/farm with small tractors while working with more non-profits such as Gorgui Foundation & Hope 4 Orphanage.
