He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Carl Hitsman and Myrtyl Hitsman-Steed (Toczek); and his wife Arlette Joy Steed (Mann). He is survived by: his sons, Nicholas Steed and Brian Steed; his siblings, Julie Ann Berig, Maryann Steed, Dawn Hitsman Wilson, Alicia Steed, Garold Steed, Doug Hitsman and Roger Hitsman; his grandchildren, Rauchelle Richey (Troy Richey), Jessica Steed, Alyssa Steed, Miranda Bilodeau Adam Bilodeau, Katelyn Watkins (Michael Watkins), Hunter Steed (Ashlyn Steed), Charlotte Ward (Stuart Ward) and Brian J. Steed; and his great grandchildren, Harvey Richey, Frost Richey, Lucas Bilodeau, Evelyn Bilodeau, Theodore Ward and Rhys Richey.
