She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Gordon Ness and Annie Gilmore Ness; her grandparents, Danish and Norwegian; her daughters, Christine Engren (Chuck), Glenna Wortman-Obie (Jim), Gayla Oehmcke (Jim) and Tracy Wortman; her grandchildren, Kole Engle (Holly), Lacy Wortman (Sheena), Chandra Obie Linn (Andrew) and Barry Obie (Dawn); her sisters, Josie Hart and Mary Swarthout; and her pet Lulu. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the FFA Chapter at Big Sandy High School or to the charity of the donor's choice.
