He was predeceased by: his siblings, Vernon "Toby", Kenneth, Florence Johnson (Wayde), Grace and Mildred Hillstrom (Jim); and his son-in-law Barry Sheldon.
He is survived by: his significant other Dee Ash; his son John (Michelle); his grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew; and his daughter Shelley Shelden. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons.
