He was predeceased by: his wife Karen A Reid. He is survived by: his sons, William Earl Mapes Jr. and Jason Mapes; his grandchildren, Destiny Mapes, Brian Mapes, Hunter Mapes and Dalton Mapes; his great grandchildren, Aspen Cochran, Landen Mapes and Conrad Mapes; and his brother Bob Rich of Illinois.
A memorial service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home (1800 Florence Ave, Butte, MT 59701).
