It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karen Marie Calcaterra (Butte, Montana), who passed away on November 22, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hardie Strandberg and Cleo Strandberg; her significant other Carl Calcaterra; her in-laws, Mary and Tony Calcaterra; and her sister Chris Gabriel (Owen).

She is survived by: her son Carl; her grandson Craig; her siblings, Ingrid McKinney (David) and Nels Strandberg (Debbie); her siblings-in-law, Bernie Calcaterra (Sandie) and Billie Calcaterra; her sons, Craig and Cody Calcaterra; her daughter-in-law Karen Calcaterra; her grandchildren, Michaella Croskey, Cormac and Cassidy Calcaterra; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Sundura Laturner (Mark), Joe Mackay (JoJo), Michelle Dowling (Dennis), April Brodie (Scott), Bobbie Calcaterra, Greg Strandberg, Chenoa Aikin (Zach), Shawn, Christopher Brodie, Paul and Kaja Strandberg; and also, Alice, Evgeniya "Jenny" Strakhova, Joe Ouellette, Rosie Raihl and Georgia Serich.

During and since COVID, she was supported in her home by a network of friends and family, including Joe Ouellette, Rosie Raihl, and Georgia Serich, who visited with her every week.

Memorials are suggested to the Butte Local Food Bank, Chelsea Bailey Animal Shelter, the Humane Society, or Christ Church Anglican Church.
