He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Petroni and Grace Petroni (Pinazza); and his siblings, Ines (Matt Brozovich), Silvia (John Giop) and Lewis Petroni.

He is survived by: his wife Jodel Masolo; his daughter Jolene Casey (Petroni); his son-in-law Tim Casey; his son Joe Petroni Jr.; his daughter-in-law Jessica; and his grandchildren, Olivia, Joci, Lene and Gia.
