He was predeceased by: his parents, Franz Pichlhofer and Rosa Pichlhofer; his close friend Leo Hohmann; his brother Franz Joseph Pichlhofer; his great grandchild Tayson Halvorsen; his siblings-in-law, Martha Reinders, Else Pansuk, Karl, Edelgard Krzan, Rose, Howard Peck, Paul, Gerda Staschel, Edward Krzan and Charles Staschel; his close friend Hildegard Hohmann; and his sister-in-law Brigitte Lamiaux.
He is survived by: his wife Margarete Staschel-Krzan; his children, Margie Woods (Bob), Annegret Shea (Buck), MaryAnn Lopez (Dave), Stan Krzan, Dan Krzan and Ala Krzan; and his grandchildren, Zach Woods (Kate), Mason Woods (Dani), Evan Woods (Jamie), Ryan Shea (Lisa), Kevin Shea (Britany), Michelle Rintala (Russ), Monica Lopez (Wayne), Chris Krzan, Breanne Price (Trevor), Samantha Krzan (Evan), Kasey Krzan, Eric Halvorsen (Bryann) and Levi Halvorsen (Mary).
