“Dear LInda and family, growing up skiing with Jon and his family is such a part of my growing up memories... He was so full of life and adventure, and a bit of mischief. Loved his laugh! I am sorry we did not hear about this in time to be with you on Friday. We will donate to Bridger Ski Foundation in memory of watching him fly off the big jump at Bridger Bowl, perhaps that was Junior Nationals or a qualifying event for that. Our hearts are with you. “It is with a sad heart to write this note of sympathy to Jon's family at this time. I was a good friend of Jon's in high school. He inspired all by his athletasism during that time. His family and mine were skiing families and Jon excelled at nordic racing and jumping, which were both stellar events. I was in awe! I recall his broad smile and his contagious laugh.
