It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Elon Sample of Butte, Montana, born in Mount Vernon, Washington, who passed away on April 3, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hobart Elon and Alma Vera Sample (Duncan); his wife Marlene Sample; his children, Cindy Starcevich, James Elon Sample, Jr. and Jody Black; his grandchildren, Bryan Black, Jason Sample and Natalie Zeak; and his great grandchildren, Cody, Jazmyn, Josh and Jesse.
