He was predeceased by: his wife Sharlot Richards; his parent-in-law Arthur Raymond; his son Raymond Richards; his siblings, Bart Richards (Maxine), Darwin Richards (Evern) and Margaret Minnehan (Mike); and also Bertha Raymond.

He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Betty Coffey (Larry), Dick Raymond (Betty Raymond) and Don Raymond (Peggy); his children, Bob Richards (Judy), Mary Lucon (Francis) and David Richards (Mitzi); his grandchildren, Angie Quilici (Paul), Marissa Wood (Ryan), Justin Richards, Benjamin Lucon (Carrie), Peter Lucon (Janice) and Joseph Lucon (Hilary); and his great grandchildren, Taryn Wood, Brityn Wood, Nolan, Brody, Ryatt Richards, Sophia Lucon, Logan Lucon, Helen, Alice, George Lucon and Paisley Lucon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
