He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Mitchell and Nellie Mitchell; his former wife Helen Marie Malensek; his wife Marge Mitchell; and his great grandchildren, Rebecca Ann Putnam and Berkley Shea Ann Booth.
He is survived by: his daughters, Helen Marie and Mary Ann; his grandchildren, Lori Putnam, Jody, Darci McEwen, Heather Carlson (Rob), Shawn Zahn and Amanda Booth (Todd); his great grandchildren, Erna Gallagher (JP), Kyara Kuizenga, Tony, Brady, Rebbecca McEwen, Kambrea West, Kaden, Kassidy Carlson, Brenner and Branley Booth; his great great grandchildren, Cohwen, Camden, Sophia Houchin, Nevaeh and Stella McEwen; and his niece Jeanie Haddix.
During this time, he contracted COVID-19 and was hospitalized in Jackson, Ohio for 10 days before passing.
