She was predeceased by: her parents, Abele Giop and Giulia Giop. She is survived by: her significant other Francis Rooney (Jack); and her children, Lawrence Rooney, Candace (Forrest Kaldor), Bernadette (Everett Tregidga), Linda (Dave Weekes), Barbara Weyer (Mark Thompson) and Priscilla (Dean Luukkonen). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, one sister-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
