He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Young and Ada Young; his in-laws, Murray and Jean Lind; his brothers-in-law, Kent Jones and Larry Hicks; his nephew Shad Spencer; and his pet Cole.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Lind; his children, Derek Young of Denver, CO and Angela Honzay (Al) of Fargo; and his siblings, Dirk Young (Mary) of Trinity, FL, Trudy Hicks of Franklin, OH and Annie Roehl (Jon) of Fergus Falls, MN.
