She was predeceased by: her parents, Marinus Laar and Rosa Van Laar; her spouse Bert VanMeel; and her child Jackie (Butte). She is survived by: her daughter Lori; her son-in-law Terry Sims; her grandchildren, Paul, Joyce VanMeel, Tom VanMeel, Cole Sims, Ashley, Clayton Eskridge, Allysia, James Wilson, Jeramie and Teagan Sims; and her great grandchildren, Baylee, Reese Alexander, Jack Wilson, Braxten, Courtlyn Wilson, Nevaeh, Josiah, Elijah Sims and Maverick Eskridge. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
