It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin Askelson of Brockton, Montana, born in Scobey, Montana, who passed away on October 18, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Opal Shields (Dick), Olive Adeline (Dib), Vivian Christiansen (Glen), George (Marion), Ray (Delight), Edward (Eileen), Joseph (Sharon) and Robert (Jill); his son Roger (Lisa); his son-in-law William Newman (Debra); his grandsons, Ray and Lance Newman; and his great grandchild Carter Roske-Zahm.
He is survived by: his friend Dewey Milbrandt; his wife Irene; his children, Michael (Cindy), Ronald (Rosanne), Debra (Dick Gannon) and Cindy (Robert Roske); and his daughter-in-law Lisa. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
