He is survived by: his daughters, Renee Susan and Lynn Lorraine (Don) of Joliet; his sister Violet Ekle of Columbus; his daughters, Renee' Christiansen (Lee) of Billings and Gloria Hardy (Joel) of Red Lodge; his grandchildren, Dave Schwend (Lacie), Colter, Bronson of Dayton, Wyo, Aaron Christiansen (Jamie), Samuel, Jacob, Olivia, Ruthie of Laurel, Lora Craft (Jason), Jillian, Garrett, Charlotte of The Woodlands, Robb Schwend (Molly), Tanner, Blaine, Anna of Laurel, Katelyn Hoefle (Cody), Hannah, Hattie of Billings and DeLaney Ray (Nate) of Billings; his nieces and nephews, Hanley Loyning, Harper Loyning, Miles Egan, Dennis Ekle, Kenneth Ekle, Patrick Dugan, Karen Wrench, Cindy Davison, Joann Holmes, Kelly Rittenbach, Robin Dugan and Vicki Rowley; his close friend Joanna "Jan" Hoefle; and his nephews, Richard Ekle, Larry Ekle, Gerald Ekle and Charles Egan.

“I first met Ray when his granddaughter married our son. Always enjoyed visiting with Ray about the yester years. The purchase of his 32 Ford when it was just a few years old.
