He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Martha Kreiger Smith and Edward David Smith; his brother Gregory Allen Smith; his sister-in-law Frances P. Smith; his cousin Cindy Smith; and also Casey.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Heiser; his daughters, Jennifer and Allison; his son-in-law Peter Heidmann; his grandsons, Johnny, Oliver and Noah; his cousins, Beverly Palmese, Faith White, Marion Smith, Pam Sieman, Deborah and Mark Smith; and his close friends, Dave Sullivan, John Wapner and Lowell Peterson.
