He is survived by: his wife Jill Askin; his children, Tracy Askin, Todd Askin, Tanya Askin, Teather Askin, Tyler Askin and JoBeth Askin Hutchison; his son-in-law Luke Hutchison; and his brother Jon Askin. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
