He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Conner and Lola Marie Conner; his wife Lola Beth; his son Keith; his siblings, Jack and Nellie Davidson; and his granddaughter Katie Nelson.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Diane Cook; his children, Sheri Nelson, Kimberly Reimer (Greg), Jay Conner Jr. and David Conner (Judy); and his sister Ruth Ward. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
