He is survived by: his wife Judy (Bowen); his children, Sherie Kuester (Erik) and Edward Taggert (Elizabeth); his siblings, Joe Hartl, Allen Hartl and Rosemary Braun; and his grandchildren, Chrisanne, Sydney, Amanda and Lance.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Lions Leader dogs for the blind.
