He was predeceased by: his grandparent Theis; and his father-in-law Gilbert Fieck. He is survived by: his parents, Clare Nelson and Donna Nelson; his wife Renee; his siblings, Don Nelson (Bobbie) and Marvie Jensen; his stepson Josh Poehls (Kari); and his grandchildren, Easton Poehls, Makayla, Connor Sandvig and Ayden Ausburn.
