With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rosemary Elizabeth Barta of Billings, Montana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 24, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Keller and Eva Keller; her son Greg Barta; and her siblings, Ralph Keller and Monica Tysver.
She is survived by: her husband William Barta (Bill); her children, Gale Kreitzberg (Jeff), Ginnette Nelson and Gerald Barta; and her grandchildren, Bryan Kreitzberg (Megan), Scott Kreitzberg (Jessica), Lisa Oppegaard (Cliff), Jim Barta (Tarin), Josh Barta (Brooke), Jamie Noble (Scott), Kristine Martens (Eric) and Michelle Finneman (Kyle). She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary (1001 Alderson Ave, Billings, MT 59102). A rosary was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Michelotti - Sawyers Mortuary (1001 Alderson Ave, Billings, MT 59102). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Patrick's Co-Cathedral (215 N 31st St, Billings, MT 59101).
