He was loved and cherished by many people including: his close friend Amy; his parents, George Schmalz Junior and Matilda Rose Schmalz (Hartman); his children, George (Misuk Kim) of Billings, Arlen (Sandra) of Houston, Kathryn, Marchell Mahoney (Charles) of Carson City, Kathy Henderson (Martin) of Butte, Montana and Tim (Heidi); his grandson James Schmalz; and his sisters, Rosemary Frank (Ernie), Roberta Way (Doug) and Renita Schmalz. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
