He was predeceased by: his daughter Laurel Young; his parents, Ronald Young and Louise Van Dusen (Van Dusen); and his brothers, Dennis Young and Ronald Young Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Peterson; his children, Kirsten Kneeland (Jonathan) and Evan Young (Liz); his grandchildren, Andrew Kneeland and Laurel Kneeland; and his brother Terry Young (Rosemary). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends.
