He was predeceased by: his mother Cecelia Sleeping Bear Shambo; his son John Shambo; his grandsons, Chad Shambo, John Edger Brockie, Shawn Shambo, Swede Shambo and Jordan Shambo; his father Ed Bear-Shambo; and his brothers, Edgar Shambo and Frankie Shambo.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Mae Jones-Shambo; his children, Sherry Shambo of Hays, Janice Brockie (John) of Hays, Debra Hawley (John) of Hays, Sandy Zander (Stan) of Hays, Kay Morin (Ken) of Hays, Louis Shambo (Jeannette), Anthony Shambo (Mikkie), Reno Shambo (Petrina) and Craig Shambo (Sherry); his sister Sophie LaTray of Chinook; and also Kenessa.
