Leonard Galen Bummer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leonard Galen Bummer (Billings, Montana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 9, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Leonard Galen may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Bummer and Katherine Bummer; his son Gregory (Greta); and his brother Allen. He is survived by: his wife Greta Schmidt; and his sons, Gary Bummer (Juli), Albert Bummer (Patti States), Paul Burns (Tim) and John Bummer (Dana Thompson). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church (1108 24th St W, Billings, MT 59101).
Memorials can be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and St. John's Hospice.
