She is survived by: her husband Melville M. Bowen, Jr.; her sisters, Carol Miller (E. G. Miller) of London and Wanda Reid (Danny Reid) of Manchester; and her friend Nannie Garrett. She is also survived by several cousins, niecxes and nephews and a great niece and a great-great niece.
