He was predeceased by: his parents, James Finnerty and Elizabeth Finnerty (Isabelle); his wife Mary Finnerty (Szillat); his daughters, Melissa, Rachel and Naomi; his siblings, Richard Finnerty and Shirley Mix; and his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Szillat and Richard Szillat.

He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Ronald Mix, Ernie Szillat (Jackie Szillat), Sharon Finnerty, Susie Szillat and Redd Szillat. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
